Hi, I’m Brian, founder of SmartFox Designs.
After a career spanning 30 years in graphics, print, and media, I’ve found that what I value most is using my experience, skill set, and creativity to help others succeed. Whether it’s bringing a brand to life through visuals or helping a small business market itself consistently, and cohesively, I love creating work that makes an impact.
Over the years, I’ve worn many hats across this industry, from customer service and sales to creative production, team leadership, and account management. I’ve had the privilege of working for some of the biggest names in the business, including Banta, Gannett, RR Donnelley, Xerox, and The Bernard Group. Along the way, I’ve learned from some of the most talented professionals out there, and I carry those lessons with me in every project I take on.
Why I Started SmartFox Designs
SmartFox Designs is the culmination of decades of hands-on experience in both creative media and physical display production. I started this business to help small to mid-sized companies show up with confidence, whether that’s online, in print, or at an event.
From photography, video editing, and drone work to apparel, branded tents, and trade show displays, I bring a unique mix of visual storytelling and tangible marketing solutions. It’s about more than just looking good, it’s about helping your audience see what makes you stand out.

- 20 Years behind the camera, developing my skills as a photographer
- Licensed part 107A drone operator providing high-quality aerial photography and videography
- Co-owner of The Gunny Sack, a successful food content website where I’ve honed skills in food photography, SEO, and digital strategy
- Proven ability to manage client relationships, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver creative solutions under pressure
